Visited it first time few weeks ago and ordered some chief's special - got delicious meal, very well prepared. Wife chose diet option ;) It was so good we decided to do special party for our daughter there. Our guests were very happy for the place, food and whole service. Recommended for everyone !

We got the lunchtime special of 3 courses for £4.95. I couldn't believe the price and assumed that would reflect portion size. It didn't. We all struggled to get through our main courses. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. This was our first visit but will definitely not be our last.

Not to my personal taste. Not terrible, but just a little bland for me. Very friendly though and reasonable prices.

Nice clean restaurant staff were lovely and helpful food was very nice and reasonably priced. Only complaint we went in large group and we were drinking bottles of lager they only had 6 cold ones left next time we ordered a round we asked of they had any cold ones yet we were told no so had to drink draft lager which wasn't very nice.

Thanks again to everyone at Sheesh mahal wonderful meal good value and top notch....our visit tonight was spoilt by very roudy, loud,foul mouthed men sat behind me.... I was disgusted with there behaviour because there was young children very close by it was uncalled-for...but Shay,Kahn and the girls handled the situation very professionally...I don't know how they managed...I couldn't have without loosing my cool...well done guys...see you all Very very soon....cath, John and John

Been going there or getting take aways for 20 years. Food is good and prices right. The owner and staff are very pleasent.

Best indian food in hartlepool by a country mile, so full of flavour! Try the lamb tika starter its unreal

As usual the food was excellent (Sunday Lunch), the meat, veg & potatoes were freshly cooked to a turn and the desert to die for. The staff are always very pleasant and very helpful. Nice ambiance and overlooking the Historic Quay where the Trincomalee is berthed.

Just used the click & collet service - this needs a bit of fine tuning. Parts of the order were paid for but missing, I was offered a couple of extra free desserts on my return to collect the missing portions, which I declined as they'd've not been of any use. On returning home my order was still wrong. On a positive note the food was really good albeit colder than it would've been had there been no errors. I'd use the service again but check the order in future.

Really good meal, food was delicious but the waitress, Lizzy, made it great, her customer service was brilliant, she went above and beyond, suggesting various dishes on the menu, will definitely be back.

Lovely little place! we went to happy hour, will be going back, food was lovely nice choices on happy menu and portions are really good too. Service was lovely all staff friendly and helpful can't fault this place at all

Handy for a coffee or a drink and a meal through the day, with lovely staff. I don't go out at night but know younger people who do for a good night out

This is an all you can eat! Although it is cook to order with table service food was excellent and everything was really hot and fresh.

Excellent food every time. Little on the high side of pricing but you get a decent portion and rice/chips with each dish :)

Loved this place when I first went but last time I went it wasn't so nice and the tiny bits of chicken were appalling

Fabulous little cocktail bar. Chris is probably the best cocktail maker I've ever seen. Very talented young man. Mojito and frozen Strawberry Daquiri to die for. Well done Chris.

Had a great seafood risotto from the specials. Really tasty. Others had the roasts from the Sunday menu and all wee popular. Soup was great (spiced Cauliflower). Bruschetta was good. Wished the Sticky Toffee pudding had a custard option as we thought the toffee sauce was a bit too sweet. Creme brulee was very good.

This is a brilliant place to have a family get together whether it's a birthday or anniversary, the staff were great from entering to leaving, food was delicious and hot. I booked for a party of 17 and everyone stated that it was brilliant. Thank you to all the staff, would highly recommend this place for excellent meal.
